ECAM Council Summit
Rome 2024

Organised in the margins of the Italy - Africa Conference hosted by the Italian Government, the 5th European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM Council) annual Summit focused on the theme: “Creating a better present to build a greater future for Africa: the role of healthcare and investments”.
During the event different topics, from education and training to small businesses and trade, were analysed through keynote speeches and panel discussions. Including, among others:

  • Empowering Tomorrow: Innovative Approaches to Education
  • Investing in the Future: Strategies for Youth Empowerment and Development
  • Crafting Success: Advancements in Vocational Training Programmes
  • Small Businesses, Big Impact: Sustaining Entrepreneurship
  • Trade Horizons: Fostering Global Partnerships for Economic Growth
  • Attracting Opportunities: The Role of Foreign Investment in Local Economies
  • Building Foundations: Infrastructure Development for Sustainable Growth

A select group of heads of state, heads of government, foreign ministers, heads of multi-lateral agencies and other influential personalities attended. Additionally, the summit facilitated the signing of Memorandums of Understanding among participants.

In addition, bilateral meetings were held during the summit which saw a Memorandum of Understanding between GKSD and the Garibaldi Institute being signed.
